| I was just wondering if anybody has the same trouble as i do, when i take my dobe out for a walk, if we walk off road and she is off the lead and we meet another dog thats off their lead the owner always calls their dog back and holds it tight while we pass, one woman actually held onto her dog so tight it was choking then 2 minutes later it met a jack russell and she didnt even bother to call it back, this does annoy me just coz dobies have bad reps doesnt mean to say that they are all vicious dog killing animals does it????? |

I know it's like when I was a punk when I was younger old ladies and mothers with small children used to cross the road so they didn't have to walk past me! And I am as nice as pie! lol
Used to annoy me! And I used to get followed in shops in case I pinched anything!
People seem very quick to stereotype in all the movies dobies are always guard dogs and showing their gums etc if people just stopped and talked to you they might learn something!
Again Lack of education!!!! |

I get it all the time with 4 Staffies What annoys me more than anything is if we're out and their running around and we spot someone with another dog approaching. Straight away I always round my 4 up and put them back on their leads but does the approaching dog owner.................NO |

everyone looks terrified at wilson when we go walking. mums cross roads with their children...wilson wouldn't hurt a fly, and he just wants to play with other dogs. people are just judgemental.
amethystmyst...i had your problem when i was younger also. lol getting followed round shops all the time. (i've never stolen in my life).
its their own ignorance, and i have met several jrt that are far more territorial than most big dogs, cos they have something to prove. |

I have the same problem as you as i have a rottweiler and she is the softest stupidest dog i have ever known i overheard 2 elderly woman at a bus stop the once saying thet i shouldnt be walking her on the streets how stupid is that i felt like giving them a piece of my mind but thought i had better not as i wouldnt have stopped
Some people have asked to stroke her and commented on how well behaved she is and that its all about how you bring them up and that its such a shame they have a bad reputation as some of them have said what beautiful loving pets they make.
And on about jrt's my oh has a jrt and we thought we would take him to see his brother today who lives with a friend omg what a sight rufus which is my oh's dog was very well behaved but his brother was having none of it and virtually launched himself at him wanting to kill him once seperated caspar which is his brother was shaking like a leaf in his owners arms growling i think he thought he was a lion bless him needless to say the reunion was cut short and we took rufus back home. |
