Try putting in some plants so they can swim through them and feel more protected. I know most sharks prefer to come out when its dark so you might not be able to get them out. You might also find they the merry widows need more of their kind to feel safe when swimming when the lights on as alot of fish prefer to be in large odd number groups so they dont feel so vunerable in the open.
