What bedding do you use? Its possible he has an allergy, so if you use cedar or pine, which are both toxic, please switch to carefresh or aspen.
He could have mites, what exactly did the vet gave him, did he not give a reason for his hair loss?
He needs a trip back to the vet, preferably another vet if you don't think the last vet knew what he was doing.
If hes only a year old he shouldn't be thin, try feeding him some porridge oats soaked in water twice a week and give him plenty of nesting bedding (do not use fluff, only toilet roll as fluff isn't safe as it can tangle and choke hamsters). What do you feed him?
I doubt his teeth are too long, but if they are the vet is the ONLY one who can safely cut them without cutting his tongue or splintering his teeth.
How often do you clean him out? Is it his skin sores which smell or his urine? |

Along with all the great info/questions etc. above...is he still eating, drinking, and pooing?
Does he smell like poo, pee, something entirely different?
Does he have wetness around his tail/bum area?
Definitely take him back to the vet, and probably a different vet. |
