You guys must be sick of me in this part of the forum by now...but no, I'm not just attention whoring.
My 1.5 year old bettafish, Jefferson, passed on this morning. I'm still not sure what was wrong with him, but I did all I could for anything his symptoms were showing may have been the problem...but to no avail.
You may think I'm nuts for mourning a fish. But some of them are more than just fish to me. Jeffy was an amazing pet, and he will be missed.
I thought of adding this to Kenny's passing thread, but Jefferson deserves his own memorial post on this board.

These last two were brand new, though. Just got them monday - 3 new platies and a crowntail betta.
One of the platies was just weekly bred and died, and the crowntail came from a batch infested with ich . He died yesterday. The store replaced him for me, but I haven't met my new fish yet as I was out of town and my mother had to do the returning of the corpse to them.
So in the past month that's...Squints, Kenny, Jefferson, Scott Farkus and Scuff.
I'd say that's just about enough now, God. Please and thanks haha

have you checekd you haven't got a fungal infection in your tank?
Yeah, it wasn't my tank that was the problem. Scuff was in a 10 gallon with 3 other platies, all of which are thriving and healthy. She never showed signs of illness either.
And the bettas with columnaris had it from the store...and fortunately were kept in a bowl for temporary before I put them into Jeffy's old 5 gallon, which they never made it into. It was cleaned throuroughly between fish.
(The second betta fish, that I had when posting last time, came down with the sickness too, and was returned to the store before he died in hopes they could save him. I took store credit, instead of their crappy sick replacements, and actually found a gorgeous flawed Black Orchid crowntail betta at Wal Mart...*knocks on wood* He's doing very well!)
