Post subject: Has anyone who has taken a dog to france on holiday help? Reply with quote

Hi, im taking my 16month old border terrier to france for a weeks holiday via the eurotunnel, i have the required paaport and jabs etc.

I was seeking general info on the procedures and passport control checks that i face when coming back on the eurotunnel. How long it takes to allow time before my crossing time. is it just the ticks and taepworm i have to take him to a vet in france before leaving to be treated? This sort of info, any thing will help as its my first pet, and first holiday with him.

Cheers everyone

ash

Hi,
I dont know but I think your best bet would be to speak to who ever you had to go to organise the pet passport.
How ever I can tell youthat you will have the best holiday ever wih your dog with you !!
I have only ever holidayed with out my dog once and even then she stayed with my parents but it wasnt enjoyable because you just worry all the time !!!
When their with you you can relax and you dont try to do too much as you need to consider your dog - I have two dogs now an 18 month old springer cross collie and a 4 month old terrier cross and we are all off on our hols - 10 days camping with my partner and our 3 children - bliss !!!
I hope you have a great holliday
love Coliel

My parents and numerous friends live in France. You need wormer and fleaer and shiz before leaving each country, i think its the day before?? Im not sure. All they do at the ferry port is check papers and microchip ect, it doesn take any longer than the time you should allow anyways, an hour i think?

Hi I am Aryan. I have a German shepherd.
I wanted to know how you can avoid the hair falling problems.
