Post subject: Help!!! My cat is driving me crazy :( Reply with quote

Hello everyone…

Please help me Sad . Last month my friend gave me a kitten as a gift. I named him Alaska. He is the cutest kitten you can think of. He is an Angel during the day. And a warming pad at night. But the problem is when I am still asleep in the early morning , he would start meowing OUT LOUD. This week he woke me up twice at 5 am… 5 am?!!! I cant keep him outside my room coz he will wake the whole house with his meowing . when he wakes up I feed him and try to put him back in bed, but he would wakes up again and start messing and wont let me sleep . I Don’t want to punish him so he wont hate me. And I don’t want him to wake me at 5 am coz I don’t wake up usually till 7 am. What should I do? Can I break that bad habit?

Yours ,

Bo

awww he just wants to play lol, my cat used to wake me up by lying across my neck and purring when she was a kitten. The only thing i can think of is to wear ear plugs lol, i wear them at night otherwise my chinchillas would drive me mad xx

Hello,

thank you Jan for the welcome and Thank you all for the helpful replies Smile . I will surely try them and see what happens. There was a nice lady on another website that suggested to wet him a little bit of water. I tried it. Sprayed him with a little of water. He stopped meowing and came next to me... started to purr and slept like a furry Angel lol. Wink
Now i know what to do if he started to meow out loud. Sorry Al but this is for both of our good Cat

Have a nice day everyone
Smile

Very Happy thats the joys of sharing your house with a cat Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy they absolutely love going hyper, most favourite time for this being from 12.00am onwards until about 7am Laughing Laughing Laughing it use to bother me when i did shift work i would usually lift my nearest teddy or slipper and throw it in there direction but that just inadvertently spurred them on Laughing thankfully my eldest has became docile but my young tom enjoys his night rampage still Very Happy i have just learned to sleep through it. he doesn't meow though. i leave there dry food and water out for them to nibble at if they get hungry.
