We need to prevent the local cats fouling our lawn (repeatedly!). We've considered a sonic deterrent but we're cncerned that our guinea pigs would be rather upset by it. Any suggestions? We've tried and failed with various things to sprinkle on the flowerbeds/lawn.

some people i know round here put these scarecats in there garden. its a black cat with gleaming eyes, you put him in the middle of your garden and its meant to scare them off. not sure if that works though.

You can buy lion poo, but I hear human urine (particularly mens) can also deter them and any foxes too.
