hiya

have spoken to her. her only concern is how he is with children. the cost isnt really an issue but she has 4 children 1, 2.5 , 4 , 7 and so there are 2 toddlers and 2 youngsters he has to get on with.

she is v genuine but i agree that a rescue is an unknown and sb's are v big animals that if there was a problem it could be disasterous and she doesnt want to take him and then he end up in rescue here.

hope that makes sense. does anyone know of his history with children?

sally

i can try to find out for you. of course it would have to be the right desiscion, there is no point finding him a new home only for it not to work out. leave it with me, and i will find out the info.

i ddo know the family that had him for 1 night said there child was afraid of him, but that may not have been because of how he was but just the child being frightened cos he is so big.

pm me if you want my phone number or if you want my email address. speak to you soon. Smile

what a sad story and what an irresponsible breeder, i always had it in my head when paisley had her pups that they were a responsiblity for me for the rest of their lives i have already had one pup come back due to unforseen circumatances and found him a new home and i didnt even think twice about having him back thats part of the job of breeding isnt it

Ohhhh that would be so wonderful if they had him!
I have been nagging marcus for this pup but he said we just couldn't as Jackie is so bad with other dogs!
I have been working on Marcus since this thread came on here!
I don't reckon shipment would be too much you would have to find out his weight and size etc!
I will be watching this thread like a hawk from now on!

if you travel on speedferrries i think it is only something like 15 pound one way for any pet to travel with them. so that is practically nothing.

just had an email from the saint bernard club of belgium and they are saying that apparently the breeders really do want him back and are searching for him desperately. so now i am confused asto what is going on. i am back in the sanctuary on monday and i will maybe find out more then. obviously sally if they want him back then that would be the best option, but i will also find out about his friendliness with kids at the same time.
will keep everyone posted. Smile
