Thought i would let you all know whats been happening with trixy now i have stopped crying.

I rushed her back to the vets today as she had took a turn for the worse over night she had been throwing up not eating or drinking or moving so i lay with her in the kitchen and wiped her mouth for her then carried her like a baby all the way to the vets where i had to leave her for x-rays etc.

This has been the worse day ever and really didnt think it would knock me about as much as it has i had the phone call back from the vets half hour ago and have been told that she has fluid on her lungs a chest infection and possible kidney failure so the next 24 hours are critical and the vet has warned me that she still could die so i'm trying to prepare for the worse.

I have to give the vets a call back in the morning to see if the worse has happened or she has pulled through the one thing that is upsetting me the most is the thought of her being all alone in the vets thinking i have left her Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Hi Sambo, mommy is right about the Omega-3's. Omega-3's are anti-inflammatory so are good for arthritic conditions. Cod liver oil is also recommended. Also many vets recommend Glucosamine Sulphate (GS) This is a top seller at H & B health shop for arthritis sufferers and owners of arthritic pets. You can buy one specifically for pets at H & B but many owners just buy the normal version for their pets as the pet variety is no different in composition to a standard Glucosamine/Chondroitin combo. GS is sourced from shellfish but you can get a veggie version.

Sad news i'm afraid we had a phone call today to say trixy was vomiting blood so they thought it best to put her to sleep so me my mom and dads wife all went and said our goodbyes.

We have brought her home and buried her in our back garden under a lovely tree and my boyfriend is off to fetch me a statue, my two kids were heartbroken and have gave trixy a teddy each and a letter which i put on trixies chest and wrapped her arms around them.

I'm so sorry Sam Crying or Very sad . She is suffering no longer. It's a decission none of us likes to make. Your children made such a lovely gesture, so moving it brought tears to my eyes.

Take care of yourself and your family sam

Oh Sam, I'm terribly sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to all of you. Poor little Trixy - but she's happy and pain free now and forever grateful to you for giving her such a wonderful home and above all, for loving her so much.

Hugs,
Catmad
