Introducing my zoo

Postby Emma D. » Thu Feb 25, 2010 5:40 pm

Hi everyone, I'd just like to introduce my fur-family to the forum. :)

Well, my fur-family is never ending - 6 dogs, 2 cats, 1 snake (not exactly furry!), 1 rabbit, and I dogsit 2 dogs each Tuesday and Thursday. I also have a feather family - two cockatiels, two budgies, and 16 chickens. Saying that the animals mean the world to me would be an understatement. We're living happily in Britain, taking each day by stride. Having an animal without a name would be like having chocolate without hundreds of calories.

Tippi - Tri coloured female Jack Russell - 5 years old (DOB: 20/1/05).
Tia - Red female Doberman - 2 years old (DOB: 14/3/07).
Star - Mainly white female Tri coloured Jack Russell - 1 year (DOB. 26/7/08).
Tiffany - White female Jack Russell Terrier - 2 years (DOB: 1/1/08).
Toby - Brown and White male Jack Russell Terrier - 4 years (4/5/06).
Jack - Black and Tan male Doberman - 6 months (25/8/09).

Scally - Silver tabby mix breed male cat - 6 years roughly (rescue).
Slinky - Black mix breed female cat - 14 years (rescue from street).

Stripe - Brown & white female rabbit - 12 years (DOB: 4/1/98)

Luke - Blue male budgie - 2-3 years.
Sky - Blue patched male Budgie - 1-2 years.

Simon - Male grey Cockatiel - God only knows how old (Rescue)
Simone - Female grey Cockatiel - Also rescue.

Junior - Male corn snake - 6 years old.

Big Bertha - Rescued Battery hen.
Bella - Rescued Battery hen.
Vinnie - White Sussex cockerel.
VJ - Male White Sussex, Vinnies 'baby', 1 year old cockerel.
Betty - Very fat, and very 'cute', White Sussex hen, mother of VJ.
Red - Black and Red Pekin Cockerel.
Buffy - Buff coloured Pekin hen.
Spike - Buff coloured Pekin cockerel. The cockerel who was returned for horribly aggressive behavior, was very missed, and was brought back home where he belongs.
Lucky - Buff coloured Pekin hen, daughter of Spike and Buffy.
Colin - Red Pekin cockerel.
Red's girls - two black & red Pekin hens, living with Red who haven't found names to fit their personality yet.
Rocky - Buff and Black hooded vorwerks cockerel.
Rebel - Buff and Black hooded Vorwerks hen.
Ovan Ready - a balding battery hen rescue, nicknamed out of humour, was first Winnie.
Ovan ready Junior "O.J" - Ovan Ready's first hatching chick.
Nipper - Black mix cockerel.

Well, that was my fur, scale, and feather family. =]
Tippi, Toby, Star, Tiffany, Tia, Jack & The Owner
R.I.P Buddy, Wolfhound/Golden Retriever/German Shepherd/Labrador rescue mix. Friendly and well trained, a beautiful rescue sent to the rainbow bridge far too soon. ?/?/02 - 08/6/04

WOW sounds great, well done on all your lovely ones xx
I am employed in a veterinary practice and have been a Veterinary Nurse for 6 years.

You must contact a qualified vet for his opinion if your pet is in discomfort.
